Born in Bangkok, Frances Juriansz is a Toronto-based photographer and video artist who works on both commercial and personal projects. She specializes in portrait and location photography around the world, and is always up for a new challenge.
Frances has contributed to publications such as Time, Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Ski, The Walrus, enRoute, More, Fast Company, Inc. and re:Porter. Some of her advertising clients include: TD Bank, Mercedes-Benz, Fairmont Hotels and The Salvation Army.
Her latest video project, 'Gravity is quiet' focuses on her three favorite things: people, lush landscapes, and movement - to portray an invisible state of wonder.
Juriansz's work has been recognized by the Eddie & Ozzie Awards, the North American Travel Journalist Association, PDN Magazine/Nikon Self-Promotion Awards, Applied Arts, AR 100, and the Advertising & Design Club of Canada. She also holds a MFA in Documentary Media from Toronto Metropolitan University, and enjoys teaching part-time.
Frances lives in the east end of Toronto with her husband, 2 kids and a dog named Bella.
